Fellowship

St. John's is an active congregation with many groups for you to enjoy the blessings of fellowship with other Christians.  You are always welcome and encouraged to bring a friend.

Recurring Fellowship Groups

Book Club - second Monday of Sep, Nov, Jan, Mar, and May.
Bridge - occasional Fridays/Saturdays at 7:30 pm.
Craft/Creative Fellowship - Thursday nights at 7 pm. All skills levels welcome--hands needed to paint, cut fabric, stuff with fiberfill, sew, quilt, cross-stitch, bake, and more. 
Men's Breakfast - last Saturday of each month at 8 am, in the fellowship hall; ladies welcome. 
Retired and Older Adults - Older People Living Abundantly (OPALS) - coordinator Jean Fratzke.  
Scrapbooking - third Saturday of each month, in the fellowship hall.   
Scouts 
Small Groups 
Softball - St. John's fields one men's team and one co-ed team.  
Young Adults - frequently meet for lunch together following our late service.

Annual Fellowship Events

Shrove Tuesday Pancake Supper held the Tuesday evening before Lent begins
Lenten Soup and Sandwich suppers held before  Wednesday evening worship.
Spaghetti Dinner, hosted by John's Gang, on a Sunday evening in February-March.
Craft Fair, "A Fair to Remember" held Saturday of Veterans Day weekend, 9 am to 3 pm; in 2008, the fair will be Nov 8 from 9 am to 3 pm.
Servant Saturday held the Saturday morning before Thanksgiving; leaf raking and yard work for seniors and others in the community.
Advent Wreath-Making Chili Supper held the Saturday evening before Advent begins.
Mt Vernon Christmas Luncheon held early in December on Sunday after late service.
