And behold, a lawyer stood up to put him to the test, saying, "Teacher, what shall I do to inherit eternal life?"  [Jesus] said to him, "What is written in the Law? How do you read it?"  And he answered, "You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength and with all your mind, and your neighbor as yourself." - Luke 10:25-27

The lawyer who tried to test Jesus ended up being tested himself.  His answer, Jesus affirmed, is the correct one -- and Jesus is the only one who has done that perfectly.

At St. John's, we work in service to our neighbor out of thanksgiving for what God has done for us.  As Jesus washed his disciple's feet, we, too, are sent to share God's self-giving love with the world around us.  We believe that being of service to one another, both in our community and beyond, is part of our calling as followers of Christ.  As St. Paul writes in Philippians 2:!5, we are to "shine as lights in the world."

We invite you to learn more about some of the ways in which the people of St. John's live out our faith.  To learn more about such opportunities, check out the links below, or call the church office for additional information.  Come serve with us as servants of Jesus Christ!
