Koinonia August Angels
In 2011, St. John's members are again invited to participate in Koinonia's August Angels program. Last year Koinonia provided over 220 children with a backpack stuffed with all the necessary supplies, a new outfit, and gift card for shoes from Payless Shoes. With the help of local churches, businesses and members of the community, they will be able to help school-aged children in need again this year.
This year, SJLC members are asked to donate a backpack and $10, which will be used to purchase, at bulk prices, all the school supplies needed for an individual student.
