St. John's holds a Prospective Members Class in the Spring and Fall for anyone interested in making St. John's their home congregation. Discipleship 101 (or D101) is a 7-week class held during the Education Hour before worship, from 9:15 to 10:15 AM. D101 uses Scripture and Luther's Small Catechism to explore both our faith as Lutheran Christians and our life together at St. John's. It weaves together visits from our ministry servant leaders with our congregation's mission and vision. New members are received in the worship service the Sunday after the last class.
