Jonah… for Lent? Jonah, who was in the belly of the great fish for three days, points us ahead to Jesus. When asked by the people for a sign, Jesus said, “I will give you only the sign of Jonah.” After three days in the belly of the earth, Jesus rose from death and the grave. And so during Lent, we follow Jonah on his journey, and Jesus on his way to the cross.
