You are invited to participate in one of St. John’s vocal or handbell choirs, or sing or play instrumental solos. Each musical group works toward increased musicianship that enhances spiritual growth.
Adult Choir - A SATB choir (soprano-alto-tenor-bass), rehearses Wednesdays, 7:30-9:00 p.m. This volunteer choir provides music and leads worship for the 9:30 am service, including other special services. The choir also sings for evening services during Advent, Lent and Holy Week. No audition is required. Click here to register.
Bells Angels Handbell Choir - Rehearses on Thursdays, 7:30-9 p.m., September through April. This choir plays intermediate to advanced music and rings five octaves of Schulmerich Handbells and five octaves of Malmark Choir Chimes. The choir plays for worship once a month, attend handbell festivals sponsored by the Handbell Musicians of America, formerly the American Guild of English Handbell Ringers (AGEHR), and present several concerts. Soloists - Vocal soloists and instrumentalists enjoy several opportunities throughout the year to share their talents. Instrumentalists are used on festival weekends during the many seasons of the church year: Advent, Christmas, Baptism of Our Lord, Epiphany, Transfiguration, Holy Week, Easter, Ascension, Pentecost, Holy Trinity, Reformation, All Saints Day, Christ the King, and Thanksgiving. Many other opportunities present themselves for those wishing to participate in some of the social events at St. John's such as Homecoming Sunday and other special occasions. Click here to register.
